History of cupping:
Cupping is an ancient healing therapy that is primarily used to ease pain and accelerate the recovery process.
The cup is placed on an area that is a source of pain or in need of recovery, often times the back, neck or legs. The suction force applied by cupping expands and breaks open tiny blood vessels under the skin, which causes your body to treat the area like an injury. This process results in your body sending more blood to the area, stimulating the natural healing process.
Cupping therapy may help improve blood flow, boost immune function, remove toxins, and reduce pain. It may also ease back pain, neck pain, and headaches. Sources: Healthline, Clevel
The cup can be placed on your back, stomach, arms, legs or other parts of your body.
